When I was a kid, and later as an adult, I thought I'd see how far I could punt a regulation size NFL football. I figured, "How hard can this be...I can probably pull off a 30 yard punt." Uh...no. I didn't realize how hard a football is, and my average punt distance was probably 15 yards...if you take out the whiffs and sidewinder slices.

Go 'Hawks!Sammyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02795425052008414162noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3237610160312318565.post-64351992682040083302017-12-04T20:47:28.844-06:002017-12-04T20:47:28.844-06:00We've missed your blogging this season! We've missed your blogging this season!VMMhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10308259130125870681noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3237610160312318565.post-25177620023569404722017-09-06T22:26:45.187-05:002017-09-06T22:26:45.187-05:00I think you're way off, here:

I agree with not publishing the comment because just like you shouldn't be expected to "hug it out" with someone with a "different opinion" that seeks to deny you your humanity, you also should not be expected to give sunlight and fresh air to such opinions. Some opinions should be censored and not even be entertained with the thought it may be valid; Holocaust denial, slavery as a "good thing", racism, sexism, homophobia, transphobia, etc.

Keep up the good work. It's always great to see the perspectives of fans of other teams, even when they despise mine. This is why I can be friends with Pens fans even though I am a Blue Jackets fan. Respect my humanity, I'll respect yours, and we can enjoy our respective teams without being jerks about it. :)

(Coincidently, I got a new CBJ jersey while they were 50% off this weekend; road white. The Blueline didn't have any left with names and numbers, so I got to choose from the entire team. Decided against Panarin, since it made no sense on a Reebok sweater that he will have never worn. To avoid duplicating my home jersey, I decided against Atkinson. I also avoided players with one full season; Anderson, Sedlak, Werenski. In the end, I went with Seth Jones, who isn't a free agent until 2022-23, so I should be pretty safe, and seems to fit your rules here. ;) )GreenKathttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12855953595781893262noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3237610160312318565.post-10714235827619380782017-07-10T09:41:00.510-05:002017-07-10T09:41:00.510-05:00I really, really love this blog. I really enjoyed reading your blog I have been a seahawk fan since 1976 when Steve Largent and Jim Zorn played together. I also liked Dave Krieg, Curt Warner, Chris Warren, Shaun Alexander. My all time favorite is Steve Largent who was the 1st ever Seahawk inducted into the hall of fame in 1995. When he became a politician I sent a rookie card of his to him at the house of representatives and he was kind enough to send it back signed. My Favorite player now is also #3 the only 5'11" QB and one of the best in the game who will be relevant for a long time to come.Eddie Wilsonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13168464603027671118noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3237610160312318565.post-89287055923382055342017-02-05T15:00:07.505-06:002017-02-05T15:00:07.505-06:00So this is probably a shot in the dark, but...my s...So this is probably a shot in the dark, but...my son wants a 2011 Lynch jersey for his birthday. Amazing!
I was not one to think the match up would be easy, not based on how "good" the Lions were, but more so on "which Seahawks team will show up?".
Thankfully, it was Danger Russ and co. leading the show!

I admit I was a bit happy when Angry Doug snatched that ball from Kearse. Sorry, not sorry?

I've read several writers trying to decode the success/run scheme and it all comes across as confusing, what are your thoughts? O-Line finally together? Crappy Lions line just folded? Rawls 100% makes all the difference?

I also didn't know we held the Lions to a season low in yards!! Awesome! I don't remember anyone mentioning that. I still feel like the Seahawks don't get quite as much credit from certain announcing teams, or maybe the NFL?...for a while it seemed all Chris and Al could talk about was how bad the Lions were, not how it might be that we were just playing lights out football and completely dominating. I guess C.C. came around a bit later in the game and said a few good things about us.

It did indeed seem like it was a total team effort, and was a joy to watch.
I look forward to Saturdays game, and to reading your thoughts afterwords!
Keep up the great work!
Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16371726261005308273noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3237610160312318565.post-39351474048369885882017-01-08T15:56:58.169-06:002017-01-08T15:56:58.169-06:00It's been nearly 2 months of chaotic Seahawks ...It's been nearly 2 months of chaotic Seahawks performances without any emotionally charged encyclopedic comparisons to games from the '80s. That Buffalo game was a nail biter. I never thought of Buffalo having such a dynamic team. I knew Shady would play, if he could. But that MF didn't look like he was suffering from any type of injury. And Tyrod? HOLY FUCKING SHIT! That QB played out of his mind. Reminded me of DangeRuss' first season....

And that Pats game. Best performance of our season. We were in position to win on that last drive, the fumble killed that. Am very worried about DangeRuss staying healthy through this all, but am liking his team leadership and perseverance through his personal struggle.

As for the Rams (as much as I hate them and the 49ers), Fisher gets them to play tough against division opponents. Barring that MNF opening game, mind you. I remember when the 49ers were the darling of the media a couple of years back, and Fisher and his Rams went 1-0-1 against them. I will be happy to split wins with the Rams this year. And with the Cardinals.
