If you drop $125 on this, you are a Mor-on.

I love throwback jerseys. Over the years, I've had Largent, Krieg, Kennedy and Easley old school jerseys (unfortunately my fat ass grew out of the Largent, Kennedy and Krieg jerseys), and I'd love to get more (a Cortez #99 jersey would be sweet).

Also, back in '87, my 12-year-old noggin sported the "Boz" cut. I had that The Land of Boz poster on my wall, and I had a Bosworth #44 Seahawks jersey. I even bought the dude's book. I was hard core, y'all.

However, the day you see me wearing the Bosworth throwback they are pushing online right now is also the day you know I've had a full frontal lobotomy.

If you are a Seahawks fan, why would you buy this? This guy was one of the biggest busts in NFL history, particularly in relation to the amount of hype that surrounded his arrival in the NFL. He played in a grand total of 24 NFL games, and accumulated only four more career sacks than you or I have. Yes, it's worth noting that he had a promising rookie season in '87, but you can say the same about Rick Mirer in '93. I don't see anyone clamoring to shell out $125 for HIS jersey, do you?

I mean, this guy shouldn't represent a positive memory for Seahawks fans. I associate him with failure and disappointment in my mind (and with getting pancaked by Bo Jackson on MNF). He's Owen Gill. He's Dan McGwire. He's Kelly Stouffer and Lamar King... and so on.

I'm guessing there must be demand for Boz jerseys among ignorant douchebag buffoons that I don't know about? What do y'all think?

That would be like me running out and buying a Tony Eason throwback jersey. Why would I want to remember that bum?

If it ever goes on clearance for around $25, I could see buying one as a gag gift. But other than that, I could only see really rich people buying it as a gag gift.

I'll put it next to my Chargers Ryan Leaf throwback thank you very much.

No matter what the player, that old-school uni is still gorgeous. Can we get those back now?

I'd love to see us bust out the throwbacks a couple times a year. You gotta do it right though... Like the Bucs did last year.. Not just throwback Unis, but also throwback field markings and signage in the stadium.

I can't find it now, but someone did a mock-up of our current jerseys, but with silver helmets and pants... looked really sharp IMO...

My friend Jon Ballard was in town from DC back in October. He used to be a disc jockey at KISW back when it was a rock station, before they went to the "right-wing-junior-high-penis-chat" format they have now. I can only afford 1game a year these days, but clearly I'm a good luck charm and should be at more, because the Hawks blew out Jacksonville 41-0. Or maybe it was Jon's #55 Bosworth jersey. He got it thinking it was a hilarious joke, but when he got to Qwest field he kept his coat on over it in embarrasment. I told him I'd take it off his hands, I would happily embrace the suck. I think it's cool, in the same way Sub Pop "Loser" shirts are cool...besides, I paid my dues: I was in the Kingdome at the Bo Jackson game. But I sure as hell wouldn't pay $125 for it, which he apparently did, and wouldn't give it to me.

I am poor and I would but that jersey, just for the fact that "The Boz was the biggest bust this team had.

The Boz embodied everything that an NFL player should have been back then, except the sucking part. He was brash, tough "kinda" and he was an attitude ready to shit on you.

Football just isn't as bad ass as it use to be. I like guys like Lyle Alzedo and Ronnie Lott. Tough bad-ass football players laying it all on the line for the game.

I would pay top dollar for an Owen Gill throwback jersey -- expect that he never actually played in the NFL. And no one other than one of us really dorky Seahawk obsessive fans would know who he was. A second round pick (the team's top pick overall that season) and he didn't even make the team. Amazing.

why would a grown man wear ANY other grown mans jersey?
