Ok Edge, join the blues...

PFT is reporting that the Seahawks have signed Edgerrin James. I like this move, given that James showed that he had some fire/ability left in Arizona's final 5 games last season. He rushed for 100 yards against us in week 17 last year, and looked spry throughout the Cardinals' post season run to Tampa.

If Edge can get 427 yards rushing this season, he will become the 7th-leading rusher in NFL history.

What do you think, sirs?

I think it's a good move. The LT sitch, I'm much, much concerned about that at the moment...

The timing makes me wonder a bunch... why now? Why does this make sense now, but at the beginning of camp, it didn't? Is he going to work in this new, one-cut-and-go running game, having been a West Coast O guy his whole career?

I'm not down on him, I too saw the bump he gave the team last year near the end, and he looked stout during the playoff run, but I'm just curious enough to wonder: why sign him after letting Mo Morris go? I guess I hate that move more now than I did before, and I hated it pretty hard at the time.

To quote the great philosopher Sammy Hagar: Only time will tell if we stand the test of time.

I like this move too. I don't know why. I think it's more a lack of interest in Julius Jones and TJ than anything. Also, I'm really pulling for Justin Forsett, but he doesn't seem like an every down kind of back. At any rate, their running game is really going to be only as good as their line.

Aside from the obvious Franco Harris element here, I think its a good signing. Even in his advanced age he's still quick and can get yards without a lot of room to run through.

I like him better than Julius "Thomas is way better than me" Jones.
